Fixing the Capital Gap: How to Build a Healthy Funding Ecosystem in Games

Despite record revenues the games industry still struggles to match bold ideas with the right capital at the right stage.  Persistent funding bottlenecks and rapidly changing trends and structures mean that many studios are left with conflicting information and financial uncertainty throughout production.  This is especially difficult for new studios as mounting caution pushes 'risky' concepts off the table and can stifle new, creative visions with potential for high returns.  In this roundtable we will discuss the current funding landscape, identify gaps and discuss creative and practical solutions to explore how the industry can approach funding differently.
