Min Kim

Min Kim, Bonfire Studios: Min does strategery at Bonfire Studios, and serves as the Chairman of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. Min began his career in business development at a growing upstart called Nexon in 2003. There he cut his teeth broadly on across licensing, live ops, monetization, and publishing. He is a long-time Magic: the Gathering fan and loves filling his closet with Warhammer.

Reflections by the Bonfire

After many years in the “business” of games, Min Kim (Bonfire Studios) wanted to get closer to the magic of game making. During his eight years at Bonfire, he’s learned that game development is not what many of us perceive it to be and that the business of games is stifling the creativity it hopes to spark. In this session, Min shares his reflections as a business person on the long and winding journey of finding the fun.
