Tara Saunders is Co-Studio Head at PlayStation London Studio. Having worked as a creative in the video games industry for over 20 years, she has grown to be a part of the studio’s leadership team. In this role, her passion for people and creativity shines as she supports art and design on game development, as well overseeing operations to develop the environment and culture within the studio.
Merging the Old with the New – Can a Hybrid Approach to Game Development Really Work?
Everyone is tackling a new future of work and trying to define what works for them and their teams. The next year is going to be another big experiment on defining and iterating on what the new normal is! So how do we take the positives of in-person collaboration from the past, and blend it with the successful adaptions we have discovered whilst working from home during a global pandemic? Can we find a way to be ‘Better Together’ in a hybrid working model, and how does this change the shape of the studios we lead? We will discuss the pros and cons of hybrid, share successes and challenges, and help identify tips on building and maintaining a sense of team when supporting different ways of working.
